From regenerative wool and certified cotton, to fair wages and responsible labor practices, we build products with partners who care about quality, people, and planet from the very first fiber to you the fan.
Sustainability is the Thread
At Fanagerie, sustainability is not a slogan added at the end of the process. It is the thread that runs through the whole garment. We choose partners who help us build better products from the start: certified and traceable fibers and materials, responsible dyeing and printing, skilled and fair manufacturing, and everything developed with durability in mind. The result is product with more meaning, more accountability, and longevity in your closet.

Certified Wool with Traceability Built In
Shaniko Rambouillet Wool and Zegna Baruffa Merino Wool
Our premium sportswear uses Shaniko Nativa Regen Merino American Wool. Shaniko Wool Company (SWC), founded by Jeanne Carver, is “an American legacy” and the first farm group in the United States to be certified under the global Responsible Wool Standard and NATIVA Regen. SWC currently consists of 10 farms in the American West, with more ranches awaiting certification. SWC has a well-documented, long-term commitment to land management, biodiversity, expanding sustainable wool practices, and scaling the amount of sustainably and humanely produced wool available to global brands. This regenerative farming model is the future of sustainable fibers, and that future is now!
For our premium knitwear and performance blends, we use extrafine merino yarns from Zegna Baruffa Lane Borgosesia, one of the world’s most respected spinning mills based in Italy. Their yarns are known for exceptional fiber quality, traceable sourcing, and environmentally responsible processing.
Working with these premiere wool partners allows us to deliver luxury-level comfort while maintaining the highest environmental standards.
Ring Spun Cotton, Tested and Approved
USA Cotton Growers in Texas and North Carolina, Italian-milled BCI Cotton from Egypt
Most of the cotton used in our cut & sew apparel begins in the USA, where growers follow some of the most advanced agricultural and quality standards in the world. American cotton farms continue to improve farming practices through techniques such as no-till planting, reduced water use, and more efficient land management. These methods help increase productivity while reducing environmental impact.
Every bale of cotton produced in the US is also tested and classified by the USDA, ensuring consistent fiber quality from farm to fabric via transparency and accountability across the supply chain. For us, sourcing cotton grown and processed in the United States supports our goals for quality and consistency in the fibers used to make our garments as well as support for domestic agriculture and manufacturing.
As important as our premium cotton fabrics for sportswear is having a trusted source for our cotton yarns used for our 3D-printed, circular knitted luxury knitwear. Long staple Egyptian cotton is spun by our Italian partner with over 60 years of cotton-based textiles expertise who shares our values of quality, durability, traceability, transparency, and sustainability through the certification of the globally-recognized Better Cotton Initiative.
This is just another way we aim to connect responsible materials with products built to last.

Ecopackables
Being environmentally responsible doesn't end with the garment. From our compostable hang tags, mailers and garment bags that are 100% landfill-friendly and made of corn (yes, corn!), to our 100% recycled PCR Mystery Packs, all of our packaging has been sourced with sustainability and the planet in mind.
Working with domestic partners like these helps us maintain greater oversight across the production process- from pattern development and sampling to final stitching and inspection to saving time to market, cutting fossil fuel emissions, and supporting living wages and better conditions for workers.
For Fanagerie, these standards are simply table stakes for the human side of our products. Responsible product is not only about responsible and sustainable fiber content and production. It is also about who makes the finished goods, under what conditions, and whether those jobs continue to exist here.
